We are appealing for information following a fire at a shop in Croxteth in the early hours of this morning, Friday 2 February.
At around 4am it was reported that Bennetts general store on Stonebridge Lane was set on fire maliciously.
Three males dressed in black and wearing balaclavas were seen running off towards Croxteth Hall Lane.
The fire is believed to have been started within the shop. No injuries have been reported.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire.
A joint investigation between Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
