We are today, Tuesday 13 February, re-releasing CCTV images of four men who we still want to speak to about the violent disorder in Liverpool city centre on Wednesday 27 December because we believe they could have information to assist the ongoing investigation.
At around 5.30am, patrols located a 21-year-old man at the junction of Church Street and Whitechapel with stab wounds to the chest. He was taken to hospital but has since been released.
A further two males self-presented at hospital with injuries and a fourth man was also later identified as having suffered lacerations to his head.
It’s believed the injuries were linked to a disturbance involving two groups of males who left the Safe House bar onto Peter Street a short time earlier.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out and to date eight people have been charged in connection with the incident.
