A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Huyton in the early hours of yesterday, Sunday 11 February.
At around 6am, emergency services were called to Elizabeth Road to reports of a stabbing. A man in his 20s sustained injuries to his arm and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He is in a stable condition and is not currently assisting police with our enquiries.
An 27-year-old woman from Huyton was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault and taken to a police station for questioning. She has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
