A man has been charged after two delivery driver’s van's were stolen and several items were taken in Huyton.
On Tuesday 5 March it was reported that various items were stolen from a delivery van on Greenfield Drive in Huyton after a man drove off with the vehicle which was later found on Landsbury Road.
Earlier last year on Thursday 2 November it was reported that various items were also stolen from a delivery van on Pennard Avenue after a man drove off with the vehicle.
Yesterday (Thursday 21 March) Officers investigating the offences arrested a man at an address in Huyton on suspicion of two counts of theft from a vehicle, two counts of theft of a vehicle and possession of a class B drug.
Michael McDonough, aged 49, of Boundary Road, Huyton was charged with two counts of unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft of an item, two counts of driving in accordance with a licence. two counts of driving without valid insurance and possession of a controlled Class B drug.
He was taken to Wirral Magistrates Court where he was remanded into custody this morning (Friday 22 March).
