We can confirm that officers are currently in Woolton following the unexplained death of a man.
At around 7.45am this morning (Wednesday 13 March), the body of a man was found in Woolton Woods and Camphill, off School Lane. He was sadly pronounced deceased.
The incident is being treated as unexplained while enquiries are carried out, but is not initially believed to be suspicious.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and trace his next of kin.
