We can confirm we received a report of what is believed to be an unexploded ordnance device in New Brighton today, Tuesday 12th March.
At around 10.05am we received a report that the device had been found in an area near Coastal Drive.
The Army’s EOD team have been notified.
There are road closures in place while the matter is being dealt with and people are advised to avoid the area. Local train services have also been affected.
