We have issued CCTV images of three men who may have information that could assist enquiries after a man was assaulted by a group of men outside a bar in Liverpool City Centre.
Between 5am and 5:30am on Saturday 20th April it was reported that a man in his early 20s was attacked by a group of men outside a bar on Seel Street.
The victim was left unconscious and sustained a fractured jaw, after the incident which required surgery after the incident.
Since the assault extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted in the area, and detectives have issued CCTV images of three men they wish to speak to who could assist in their investigation.
Detective Inspector Chris Carlin said: “This was a violent attack on a man in our city centre who was knocked unconscious and suffered a significant injury to his face.
“No one should be targeted in such a violent manner in our city centre and we are working hard to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“I am appealing to the men shown in this CCTV footage, or anyone who recognises them to come forward as we believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“Similarly, if you saw the assault or the victim involved in this incident in the early hours of Saturday morning please contact police as soon as possible.
“If you have any photos on your mobile of the incident or CCTV footage from Saturday 20 April then do let us know as any information you hold could support our enquiries.”
