We have issued a CCTV image of a man who could have information following a serious assault in Liverpool city centre on Monday 8 April.
At around 1.45pm, it was reported that two males had a dispute at Mobile Workshop, on Parker Street.
Following this incident and after walking to Cases Street, one of the males has bitten the other man on both his hands and used a small folding knife to stab him on his hand.
The victim, aged in his 40s, self-presented at hospital for treatment to his hand injuries.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspect, and detectives have issued an image of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.
Detective Constable Declan Blackwell said: “This was a nasty assault that left a man requiring hospital treatment.
“The dispute occurred in a store and has clearly escalated on nearby Cases Street when a man has sustained a stab wound to his hand.
“We believe the man pictured could have information about this incident and if you recognise him, please let us know as it could help our ongoing investigation.”
