Detectives from Operation Castle, our dedicated burglary unit, have charged a man from Southdene after a car, sledgehammer and a crowbar were seized from a property in Liverpool.
At around 1.40pm on 5 April 2024 it was reported that four men were seen in a white Mercedes after they broke into an address on Fylde Road armed with a sledgehammer and a crowbar.
The white Mercedes was later found by police during a warrant on Brookdale Drive in Liverpool with the weapons inside.
Reece Owen, 24, of Cawthorne Avenue, Southdene was arrested at an address in Kirkby and charged with burglary yesterday (Thursday, 2 May).
He was remanded into custody this morning, Friday 3 May, at Wirral Adult Remand Court.
