We are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Norris Green on Sunday 19 May.
At around 1.40pm, we received a report of a collision involving two vehicles, a blue Toyota Aygo and a blue Ford Mondeo, and a pedestrian on Lorenzo Drive, opposite the junction of Wandsworth Road.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
A 40-year-old woman from Norris Green was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and drink driving. She has been released under investigation.
We are appealing for witnesses, and for any CCTV, doorbell and dash camera footage which may have captured the incident, to please get in touch to assist the investigation.
Inspector Emma Haffenden of Roads Policing said: “We have launched an investigation into the circumstances of this collision and appeal to anyone who witnessed any part of it to please get in touch and help us.
“We are aware there were a number of people were in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to it, and ask to please contact us to assist the investigation. We also appeal to anybody with any CCTV or dash camera footage to get in touch.
“Your evidence however small, may help us to piece together how this happened.”
