ORIGINAL
We are appealing for information after reports a man was stabbed in a house in Toxteth on Saturday (9 November).
Just after 4.30pm, officers were called to Bedford Walk to a report a man in his 30s had been stabbed multiple times inside a property.
The victim has been taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Detective Inspector Keith Swift said: “The use of knives to inflict serious harm in Merseyside will not be tolerated.
“Thankfully, the victim’s injuries in this incident are not more serious, but we know all too well that when knives are picked up and used in this way, the consequences can be catastrophic.
“Based on our initial enquires, we believe the victim and the suspect were known to each other, and our investigation into this incident is progressing well.
“We are determined to bring the offender to justice, and we remain committed to taking knives off the streets and putting those who are prepared to store, carry and use them before the courts.
“If you have any information on this incident or any information on knife crime in your community, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will take action.”
Anyone with information on this incident, or who knows anything about knife crime in their area, should contact Merseyside Police social media desk via X @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’.
