An investigation is underway following a serious road traffic collision in Wavertree this evening (Friday, 22 November).
Emergency services were called at 7.15pm to a report that a Toyota Prius had collided with a pedestrian, at the junction of Wellington Road and Rathbone Road.
The pedestrian, a man believed to be in his forties, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, has been taken to hospital and the driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene.
Rathbone Road and Wellington Road at the junction with Wavertree Road has been closed whilst investigations are carried out, and diversions are in place.
