Detectives have arrested and charged two more people in connection with violent disorder in Southport and Liverpool.
A 37-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of Violent Disorder; Burglary other and Assault an emergency worker in relation to incidents in Liverpool City Centre, in which he is alleged to have thrown a missile at the head of an officer, causing injury; let off fire extinguishers at members of the public; and stolen items from a shop on Church Street. He is in custody awaiting interview.
Christopher Dean, 35, of Byfleet Close, Winstanley, Greater Manchester, was charged with Violent Disorder in Southport, after throwing wheelie bins at police officers. He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court this morning, Wednesday 20 November.
A total of 151 arrests have now been made, with 105 charged and 81 people sentenced to 165 years and three months.
