Man and woman arrested and drugs/cash seized following incident in Liverpool City Centre

We have arrested a man and a woman and seized cash and drugs following an incident in Liverpool City Centre on Saturday.
 
At around 9pm, an officer was on patrol in Mathew Street when he came across a man who had been ejected from Wall of Fame, resulting in an altercation. The officer detained the man and seized a large wrap of white powder and a large quantity of cash. He was arrested and taken to a police station for questioning.

Following a warrant at his home address in Kirkby, a further £28,000 in cash, suspected heroin, cannabis, Rolex watches and other items were seized (above and below). During the course of the search, a woman was also detained at the address, and was arrested.

 
A 38-year-old man from Kirkby was arrested on suspicion of: Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs; Possession with intent to supply Class B drugs; Possession of criminal property; and Being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
A 37-year-old woman from Kirkby was arrested on suspicion of: Being concerned in the supply of Class and Class B drugs; and Possession of criminal property.
 
Both were taken to police stations for questioning and have now been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
 
Knowsley Chief Inspector Chris Ruane said: "It is fair to say that this night out didn't end exactly as planned, and now a man and woman will be under investigation in connection with multiple offences. 
 
“The door staff and our officer acted swiftly and decisively to deal with and detain the man, and to prevent any further incidents. We work closely with licenced premises to ensure that the city centre remains a safe and welcoming place to visit, so report any such behaviour and we will take action."
