A man has been charged after a van was stopped by police in St Helens and a quantity of suspected drugs found inside on Monday 11 November.
Officers on King Street spotted a white Ford Transit at 4.40pm on Monday 11 November and detained the driver suspecting him of committing driving offences.
While searching the van, 4kg of white powder was found and the powder and the van were taken for further forensic examination.
Daniel John Cambridge, 40 years, of Longworth Road, Horwich, Bolton was subsequently charged with:
• Possession with intent to supply Class B controlled drugs (ketamine and cannabis)
• Using a motor vehicle without third part insurance
• Using a handheld mobile phone while driving a motor vehicle
• Driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence
Cambridge was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court on Wednesday 13 November. He was further remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 11 December.
