We are appealing for information following a burglary at Tesco store in Prenton in the early hours of Tuesday 15 October.
It was reported that at around 12.20am, two men smashed a window and broke into Tesco Express store on Woodchurch Road and stole cigarettes and alcohol.
They then made off via the smashed window.
CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out, and anyone with any information or dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact police.
Inspector Nicola Hughes, Neighbourhood Policing in Wirral, said: “I would urge anyone who was in the area after midnight onwards and noticed two men acting suspiciously to please contact us.
“I would also ask people to check their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they may have captured something which may be vital to the investigation.”
Inspector Hughes added: “Business theft is not a victimless crime, and especially businesses which provide an important service for the community.
"I am appealing to anyone who has information, is offered to buy the stolen cigarettes and alcohol or sees them being offered for sale to please get in touch as it will help with our enquiries to bring the offenders to justice.”
