At around 12.20am, security staff reported males attempting to gain access to the Addison Arms public house at the Triad on Stanley Road. Patrols attended and detained a man inside the premises.
47-year-old Gary Lindop of Clairville Close, Bootle was charged with Burglary other than dwelling and remanded in custody.
He was jailed for four months at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning, Tuesday 1 October. Lindop was also ordered to pay £1000 compensation and has also been recalled to prison after breaching his licence on a separate matter.
At around 12.20pm, security staff reported males attempting to gain access to the Addison Arms public house at the Triad on Stanley Road.
Detective Constable Alexa Collins said: “Crimes against businesses cause a great deal of harm, stress and inconvenience for those people working hard to make a living, and on those communities they serve.
“It is really pleasing to see Lindop dealt with swiftly through the courts and hopefully it sends a message to those businesses that, working alongside their own security staff, we will respond quickly and decisively in tracking down offenders.
“If you have information in relation to burglary where you are, come forward to @MerPolCC, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
