We are releasing CCTV images of two men that may assist with our enquiries following a reported robbery at a shop in Norris Green.
At around 12.30pm on Thursday 19 September, it was reported that two men entered Go Local on Lorenzo Drive and threatened two shop assistants with a smashed glass bottle. They stole electric cigarettes from the shelf and money from the till.
One shop assistant ran out of the store and attempted to detain them by shutting the door. The two men shattered the glass on the door as they tried to get out.
One man also attempted to get to the other shop assistant behind the counter, which prompted the door to be opened and they made off towards Wandsworth Road.
One victim sustained a minor cut to his hand from the incident.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and detectives have issued CCTV images of two men they believe could assist in their investigation.
Detective Inspector Chris Carlin said: “This was a very distressing experience for both victims who was left in a state of shock and thankfully they were not seriously injured.
“Our investigation is ongoing, and I am appealing for the two men featured in these images or anyone who recognises them to come forward. We believe they could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.
“Although the images are not of the best quality, we are hoping that their appearance, clothing and the circumstances of this incident will prompt people with information to come forward.
“We also encourage people to come forward if you know anything about the incident which will help with our investigation.”
