A male was arrested following an incident in Walton on Tuesday 8 October.
We received a report just before 11pm that a three males were seen with a weapon on County Road.
Officers attended and detained a male, and Police Dog Xander was deployed and found a machete hidden behind a garden bin.
A 17-year-old male from Orrell Park was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. . He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries
