A man has been charged with violent disorder and Section 18 assault of a police officer in Southport on 30 July.
Kevin Clark, 33 years, of Brookdale Road, Hindley was charged with taking part in the disorder in the town and throwing a brick at an officer’s head.
He has been remanded to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday 10 October.
It brings the total number of arrests for disorder in Merseyside to 124, with 88 people charged and 65 people sentenced to a combined 139-and-a-half years.
