We have charged an 18-year-old man with s18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article.
Logan Brown, of Ribblers Lane, Knowsley has also been charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage.
At around 8.20am on Monday 2 September officers were called to an address in Hobart Drive, Tower Hill, to reports of a man trying to force entry, having allegedly been chased by a group of males.
A woman was found with arm injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. She has since been released.
Brown was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Wednesday 4 September.
