We have charged a 22-year-old man with s18 wounding with intent following an incident at David Lloyd leisure centre in Speke.
At around 6.05pm on Thursday 29 August it was reported that a 23-year-old man had been slashed with a bladed weapon inside the leisure centre, off Speke Road, and suffered a facial injury.
Elliot Ashton, of Lumley Street, Liverpool, has also been charged with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 30 September.
