A man has been arrested following a domestic incident in Liverpool yesterday, Wednesday 4 September.
Just after 4.15pm we received a report that a man attended an address in Wavertree and became aggressive, banging on the front window and front door of the property.
It was further reported that the man had a knife and made threats to harm the occupants. No injuries were reported.
Officers attended and found a man in possession of a lock-bladed knife.
A 35-year-old man from Everton was arrested on suspicion of possession of bladed article and using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/harm/alarm/distress. He is still in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Chris Clark said: “There is help available to anyone who may be suffering domestic abuse of any kind and together with partner agencies, we will do all that we can to support you.
“Domestic abuse can happen to anyone and we have specially trained officers who will listen to you and support you with sensitivity and compassion.
“I would ask everyone to look out for family members, friends or neighbours that may be suffering. By contacting us, you could be helping someone who is too afraid to help themselves. Everything you tell us is taken extremely seriously and will be investigated thoroughly.
