**Update** Road closure following incident in St Helens

**Update 10:25am** The road has now been reopened.
We can confirm that a road closure is in place in St Helens due to an incident this morning, Wednesday 18 September.
At around 7.15am, officers were called to the East Lancashire Road in St Helens following the concern for the safety of a man.
A closure is now in place on the East Lancashire Road Liverpool bound from City Road while we deal with this incident.
Please avoid the area if possible and thank you for your patience.
