We are continuing to appeal for information collision involving three vehicles in Old Swan on Friday 7 February.
Just after 4.20pm officers were called to a report of a collision involving a Mercedes, Hyundai and Lexus on Prescot Road.
It is believed one driver, a man in his 50s, suffered a medical episode. He is currently in a critical condition in hospital.
A woman driver in her 20s received treatment for a minor injury.
We are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist the investigation.
Inspector Roads Policing, Simon Wilson said: “We are continuing to appeal for information following a collision on Friday afternoon where a man is in a critical condition.
“Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the circumstances. Therefore, we’d ask that anyone who was driving along Prescot Road, near Green Lane at around 4.20pm and witnessed the collision or captured anything on dashcam or other devices to come forward as soon as possible.
“Your information could be absolutely vital to our investigation.”
