We can confirm that emergency services are in Liverpool City Centre following a serious collision this evening, Thursday 13 February.
At 7.35pm, a report was received of a collision between a Range Rover and a male pedestrian at the junction of Islington and Devon Street, close to the BP Garage. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver stopped at the scene to assist with enquiries.
Road closures are in place and we would ask that people avoid the Islington area where possible, and take an alternative route.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or was passing by and potentially captured anything on dashcam or other devices is asked to contact the SCIU on (0151) 777 5747, email [email protected], or DM @MerPolCC with reference 25000121527.
