We have charged a Bootle man following a burglary at a charity shop in Crosby in January.
Overnight between 9pm on Tuesday 7 January and 6am on Wednesday 8 January, the front door of Age UK on Moor Lane was reportedly smashed and entry forced. Cash from a till and a donation box were stolen.
Following extensive enquiries including forensics, a man was arrested yesterday, Monday 3 February.
Paul McKenzie Stewart, 51, of Regent Road, has now been charged with Burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
Stewart will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Tuesday 4 February.
