We have issued CCTV images of a man and woman we believe could have information that could assist an investigation into a serious assault in the city centre.
The victim was in Rubber Soul nightclub on the evening of Sunday 29 December when he was punched in the face three times in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack.
He fell to the floor and the offenders made off a short time later.
The victim attended hospital the following day where it was discovered he had sustained a fractured Jaw and nerve damage.
We have issued CCTV images of a man and woman we believe could have information that could assist efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a vicious and unprovoked attack on a man on a night out in Liverpool city centre.
“He had every right to expect to socialise and enjoy his evening without receiving a serious injury that has potentially left him with long-lasting nerve damage.
“If you were in Rubber Soul on the night of Sunday 29 December, or recognise the man and woman pictured, we appeal for you to come forward to police.
“The information you have could prove vital to our enquiries, and help to secure justice for the victim.
