A St Helens man has been charged with drugs supply offences after he was arrested at Manchester Airport.
Matthew Crehan, 21, of Dentons Green Lane, was arrested on Saturday 8 February after arriving back in the country from Thailand.
He has now been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug (cocaine), Class B drugs (cannabis resin and ketamine), a Class C drug (nitrous oxide for inhalation) and possession of Class A drugs (cocaine and MDMA).
He has been remanded and due to appear at Wirral Magistrate’s Court later today, Tuesday 11 February.
Crehan’s arrest and charge forms part of an investigation by Operation Toxic, a strand of Project Medusa, which is Merseyside Police’s response to tackling County Lines drug dealing and child criminal exploitation.
