A man has been charged following the attempted burglary of a shop in Southport.
It was reported that at around 6.15pm of Wednesday 29 January there was an attempted burglary at Bank of Beauty on Eastbank Street.
Officers have charged Joshua Johnson, 29 years, of West Street in Southport with attempted burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
Johnson will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Friday 31 January.
Neighbourhood Inspector Graham Fisher said “Stealing from businesses is not victimless. It impacts people’s livelihoods and their incomes and we have a zero-tolerance approach to those who choose to commit such crimes.
“We will continue to work with our local businesses and communities to deter and prevent business burglaries and would welcome any information from the community about other burglaries or the sale of stolen goods.”
