Detectives have issued CCTV images for witnesses to come forward who may have seen a woman fall down some stairs in a Liverpool city centre in the early hours of yesterday, Monday 17 March.
At around 2.15am we received a report that a woman had fallen down the stairs in Lost bar on Seel Street, which was witnessed by two males.
The woman is currently in hospital in a serious condition.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted, and detectives have issued CCTV images of two men who may have witnessed the fall and could assist in their investigation.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “We are keen for the two men in the CCTV images to come forward and help us with enquiries so we can understand what happened and how she fell down the stairs.
“We are keen to stress that the men in the image are not in any trouble and there is no suggestion that they have done anything wrong. We would like them to come forward to assist with our enquiries.
“I urge the men to please identify yourself and contact us as a matter of urgency.”
