At 2.20am on Wednesday 21 August last year we received a report of two males acting suspiciously in the area of Wren House on St James Drive in Bootle.
Patrols attended and carried out an area search and found a knife under shrubbery.
Jack Nolan, 22, of Cleary Street, Bootle, has been charged with possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral adult remand court today, Tuesday 4 March.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Dean said: "Knife crime has no place on the streets of Merseyside and we will continue to do everything in our powers to combat it, bring offenders to justice and remove weapons from our streets, so please come forward and tell us what you know.”
Anyone with information about who is carrying or storing weapons is asked to DM @MerPolCC or call 101. Information can also be passed on anonymously on 0800 555 111.
