The family of a man who died in a road collision in Huyton on Wednesday 5 March have issued a tribute.
Keith Hornby, aged 63 years, was tragically killed in a collision at the junction of Tarbock Road and Manley Road after it was reported that his blue mountain bike had been in collision with a black Volkswagen ID5 car.
In a tribute, his family said: “We wish to express our gratitude to the police in their quick response and professional investigation, along with the sensitive press reporting and support/condolences shown by the public.
“As you can image the whole family are devastated with Keith’s death and are struggling to come to terms with how it occurred.
“Keith was a father, son, brother, brother-in-law, and an uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a family man who was the main carer for his mother.
“His main hobby was bike riding which he did safely every day, following the same route for the last 20 years or so. Many people would have seen Keith riding his dark blue mountain bike.
“Keith recently celebrated his brother and niece’s birthday and was looking forward to his mother’s 90th birthday on 14 March. Sadly, this will not the same now.
“From the loving family and friends of Keith Hornby.”
