A man has been arrested and charged following a robbery at a convenience store in Birkdale at the weekend.
At around 10.10pm on Saturday 1 March, officers were called to a robbery at Spar on Liverpool Road where it was reported that a man had entered the store, stole cans of beer before assaulting a shop assistant him and then making off on a push bike.
No one was injured during the incident.
Yesterday, Sunday 2 March, Callum Rimmer, 23 years, of Shaws Road, was charged with robbery.
He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court today, Monday 3 March.
