Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Officers are appealing for help in locating a man they would like to speak to in connection with a reported robbery and fraud committed in Liverpool city centre.
It is believed De-Pierre Nguessan, 25 years, from Southwark in London, may be able to help with enquiries following a mobile phone robbery on Bold Street in May last year.
The suspect then used the stolen phone to purchase items.
Detective Constable Lee Hearne said: “This was a very distressing experience for the victim who was left in a state of shock and thankfully they were not injured.
“People visiting our city should be able to enjoy what it has to offer without fear of being subjected incidents like this.
“We would encourage Nguessan to contact us to help with our investigation.”
If you see you recognise Nguessan or know where he is, contact us via @MerPolCC on X, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 24000413678.
