Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Officers are appealing for help in locating a man they would like to speak to in connection with a reported robbery in Toxteth.
It is believed Aslan Celik, who is also known as Huzaifa Salama, 35 years, from Newsham Park, may be able to help with enquiries following a business robbery on Lodge Lane in August last year.
It was reported that two men entered the premises and used hammers to smash equipment and attack staff before making off with electrical goods.
Detective Constable Lee Hearne said: “This was a frightening attack on the victims’ where they sustained bruising from the assault, and it was a very distressing for them.
“Thefts and robberies of businesses is not a victimless crime which has a negative impact on our local economy and people in the community.
“We would encourage Celik to contact us to help with our investigation.”
If you see you recognise Celik, or know where he is, contact us via @MerPolCC on X, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 24000709763.
