Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
Officers have arrested the owner of a dog after a man was bitten in Aintree this evening, Saturday 3 May.
At around 6.15pm it was reported that a man had been bitten by a German Shepherd in the front garden of a property of Keble Drive.
It was further reported the owner then restrained the dog.
The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained multiple injuries to his arm and hand from the dog, and was taken to hospital.
Officers attended and the dog was seized.
A 62-year-old man from Sefton was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of an out of control dangerous dog in a public place and other offences. He is in police custody to be questioned.
