We have issued CCTV stills of two men we believe could have information that will assist an investigation into an assault in Birkenhead.
It was a reported that at around 12am on Monday, 7 October, a man was struck in an unprovoked attack after four men approached him on Old Chester Road.
The victim, a 52-year-old man, sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective Inspector Paul Parry said: “I would encourage anyone who recognises the men pictured, or who has any information on the assault, to please get in touch.
“The victim was walking with a friend on Old Chester Road when the pair were approached by four men. He was then hit causing a serious injury, from which he is still recovering.
“Our enquiries into who is responsible are ongoing, and anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage, is urged to contact us.”
