We arrested eight men after reports of a large fight in Liscard last night (Sunday 24 November 2019).
Just after 9.50pm, it was reported a group were involved in a fight outside The Rocks Bar on Wallasey Road.
Officers attended and eight men were arrested on suspicion of offences including being drunk and disorderly, drugs possession and public order offences. One of the males was further arrested for possession of a controlled drug.
An 18-year-old man from Wallasey, a 46-year-old man from Tranmere, a 19-year-old man from Wallasey Village and a 20-year-old man from Liscard were arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in public.
A 21-year-old man from Liscard was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug and being drunk and disorderly in public.
An 18-year-old man from New Brighton was arrested and issued with a caution for cannabis possession.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of Section 5 public order offence.
There were no reports of serious injury following the incident, and enquiries are ongoing to identify all of those responsible.
