We can confirm emergency services are in attendance in Wallasey this morning following reports a man has fallen from a bridge (Monday, 18 November).
At 7.04am, a report was received of a 19-year-old man from Wallasey, having fallen off a bridge in Oakdale Road near to the Wallasey Tunnel entrance.
He was taken to hospital where he was sadly confirmed as deceased. His family have been informed and an investigation is underway.
The Wallasey Tunnel was closed in both directions after the incident.
Investigations are taking place and CCTV is being looked at and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward. If anyone was in the vicinity before or at the time of the incident please talk to us and we would also ask anyone who has any dashcam footage to share it with us.
