Detectives investigating a stabbing in Belle Vale on Monday have arrested and charged a man with various offences.
On Monday 7 October, a report was received at around 11.30am that a security guard had been stabbed by a man at the Jobcentre on Childwall Valley Road. Emergency services attended and the victim, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital for treatment to an injury to his back. The victim has been discharged from hospital.
Following enquiries, 18-year-old Brendan Cole from Lee Park Avenue in Gateacre was last night arrested and has now been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent; assault by beating and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Cole will appear at Liverpool Adult Remand Court, Derby Square this morning, Wednesday 9 October.
