We have arrested a woman on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Netherley this afternoon, Friday 18 October.
At around 2.20pm, emergency services were called to the area of Scafell Walk to reports of a man in his 40s having been found with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
A 41-year-old woman was detained close by on suspicion of attempted murder and has been taken to a police station for questioning.
Officers remain at the scene carrying out a full search of the area, and forensic, CCTV and witness enquiries.
