We are issuing the image of a woman who may have information following the theft of cash from an NHS worker in Aintree earlier this month.
At around 10.25am on Wednesday 2 June, the victim, a woman in her 40s, withdrew £70 from an ATM at Asda on Ormskirk Road but forgot to take the cash from the machine. It is believed that a person behind her stole the cash.
Inspector James Halpin said: “The woman pictured may have vital information so if you know her, please come forward.
“For anyone to take advantage of such an understandable mistake is despicable, even more so when the victim is a key worker. Tell us what you know and we’ll do the rest.”
If you recognise the woman pictured or have any information, please contact our social media desk on Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’, or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or via their online form at: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give-information with reference 21000360891.
