Officers have welcomed the sentencing of a 42 year old man from Dublin after he was found in possession of a ‘double edged throwing knife’.
Jeremy Woods, 42 of Charlemont Mall, Dublin was stopped going through Liverpool John Lennon Airport security on Tuesday evening (26th Nov) when staff found a knife in his carry-on luggage.
He was detained at the airport, arrested and charged with possession of a bladed article. After being remanded in police custody, Woods appeared before the court where he was sentenced to 6 months behind bars.
