Detectives investigating an assault on Sefton Drive, in Liverpool earlier this year have issued CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with their enquiries.
On Sunday 12 June 2022, it was reported that a man and woman in their 50s were assaulted by an unknown male outside a property on Sefton Drive.
At around 9pm, the victims walked out of their front door after spotting two males in a van parking up next to a skip which was situated close to their address. The driver stayed in the van while the passenger exited the vehicle before proceeding to take items including pieces of wood, bricks and other materials from the van, throwing them into the skip.
The two victims proceeded to question the male on what he was doing before the offender then punched the woman to her stomach, pushing her to the ground. The offender then punched the man to the face knocking him unconscious.
The driver of the van drove off in the direction of Ullet Road, with the offender running after him fleeing the scene. Both victims attended hospital and have since made a full recovery.
Since the incident, a 31-year-old man from Wrexham has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Detectives are looking to speak to the person pictured in the attached CCTV image as part of their enquiries.
