We are continuing to appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Liverpool on Monday 22nd August.
At around 11.45pm, emergency services were called to Hale Road at the junction with John Lennon Airport access road to reports of a collision involving a Ford Focus and a female pedestrian.
Cinzia Ceravolo, 36, (pictured) who is from the south Liverpool area, was taken to hospital with head injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Italian national Cinzia, who is an air stewardess with Ryannair, has lived in the UK for the past five years.
She had been returning from two days away with work and had arrived into Liverpool airport on Ryanair flight FR448 from Dublin at 11.20pm.
Detective Sergeant Paul Evans, from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. We are keen to speak to a pedestrian who was walking along the pavement close to where the collision took place.
“We would also like to speak to the driver of a white hatchback vehicle that passes the location following the collision, heading in the direction of Dunlop Road.
“Anyone who believes they witnessed anything or have dash cam footage and hasn’t already come forward is asked to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision or captured anything on CCTV or dashcam is asked to contact SCIU on (0151) 777 5747, or email [email protected]. Alternatively DM @MerPolCC quoting reference 22000621301.
