We can confirm that the man who sadly died in a fatal road traffic collision in St Helens in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 11 August) was Jordan Yates.

At around 2am, emergency services were called to Scafell Road to reports of a collision involving a Renault Megane and a tree. Jordan died a short time later.

Jordan was 24 and from St Helens. His family is being supported by specialist officers as we continue to appeal for information to assist our investigation.
