Merseyside Police’s Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating a serious injury road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Halewood last night, Wednesday 31st August.
We were contacted at 9.25pm following reports a 12 year-old boy had been in collision with a black BMW 3-series on Higher Road.
The boy has been taken to hospital with a head injury and he is currently in a serious condition.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.
An investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
