A 21-year-old man from Dingle and a 17-year-old male from Liverpool City Centre, have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of 20-year-old Sam Rimmer from Bootle.
A 20-year-old man also from Liverpool City Centre was arrested on suspicion of murder earlier on this morning, Wednesday 24 August 2022. All remain in custody for questioning.
At 11.40pm on 16 August 2022, Sam was on Lavrock Bank with a group of friends, when two motorbikes, believed to be electric bikes, drove in to the cul-de-sac and fired a number of shots towards the group.
As a result Sam was injured and despite the best efforts of officers and ambulance staff he was sadly pronounced dead a short while later at hospital.
Detectives are still requesting assistance from the public to help with their investigation.
