We have issued CCTV images of a man who may have information to assist enquiries into an armed robbery at a takeaway in Allerton last month.
At around 12.10pm on Monday 24th October, we received a report that a man holding what appeared to be a firearm entered Pizza Hut Delivery, on Smithdown Road, and demanded money.
He threatened staff and left the scene with a cash till and safe box.
No one was injured during the incident, but staff were left shaken by the incident.
Since the armed robbery, we have carried out an extensive investigation.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “We are still appealing for information and would urge anyone with any details that could assist our investigation to come forward.
"No-one should be subjected to this level of fear and intimidation while they try to earn an honest living, so please come forward and we will do everything in our power to put this offender before the courts.
“Whether you come forward to us directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers, all information will be acted upon.”
Since the investigation was launched, we have arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and he has been released on conditional bail.
